Overview
Solar Savings Direct is seeking a skilled and dedicated Inspection Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible performing field inspecitons, recording and meeting with inspectors with various jurisdictions ensuring our solar and battery system installations are to code for successful signoffs.
This focus of this role is to provide excellent internal and external customer service to help Solar Savings Direct pass inspections for immediate activation of customer solar and battery systems.
Responsibilities
•
Perform field inspections of installed systems to verify compliance with design specifications, codes and industry standards
•
Commission PV and Energy Storage systems to ensure they are fully operational
•
Collaborate with inspection coordinator, installers, or engineering to resolve any issues identified during inspection
•
Use CRM to record, maintain and update project specific deliverables and tasks
•
Take required photos
•
Address minor issues or discrepancies identified during inspections
•
Complete minor punch list items such as painting conduit, applying placards, etc.
•
Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and inspectors
•
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
•
Update customer as to the outcome of each inspection. For failed inspections, inform inspection coordinator and coordinate schedule to make repairs and reinspect
Qualifications
•
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
•
Basic knowledge of PV and Energy Storage System Installations
•
Ability and knowledge to commission PV and Energy Storage Systems using supplier portas
•
Strong communications skills in order to offer exceptional customer service
•
Interact with customer and inspectors in a courteous and professional manner
•
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
•
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
•
Adhere to Solar Savings Direct safety policies and procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
