Power Ray LLC, a power company specializing in utility-scale solar energy, is seeking a skilled and licensed Solar Journeyman Electrician to support the installation, testing, and commissioning of large-scale solar power projects. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality electrical work, maintaining safety and compliance, and driving efficiency in solar power generation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with medium-voltage (MV) and high-voltage (HV) electrical systems in utility-scale solar projects.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Installation & Maintenance
•Install, terminate, and test electrical components, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and combiner boxes.
•Perform medium-voltage (MV) and high-voltage (HV) terminations and connections in compliance with industry standards.
•Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar arrays, power collection systems, and substation equipment.
•Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation.
Safety & Compliance
•Follow and enforce OSHA, NEC, NESC, and NFPA 70E safety regulations.
•Conduct lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety inspections.
•Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
Testing & Commissioning
•Conduct continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and functional tests on electrical systems before energization.
•Assist in the commissioning of solar power plants, ensuring that all electrical work meets required specifications.
•Document test results and provide reports on system performance and corrective actions.
Project Support & Team Collaboration
•Work closely with Electrical Supervisors, Foremen, and Engineers to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
•Train and mentor apprentices and junior electricians, promoting a culture of growth and skill development.
•Communicate effectively with project managers and contractors to coordinate work schedules and resources.
Qualifications
•Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific requirements apply).
•Minimum 3+ years of electrical experience, with at least 2 years in utility-scale solar or high-voltage power projects.
•Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, and OSHA regulations related to large-scale electrical installations.
•Experience working with medium-voltage (MV) and high-voltage (HV) electrical systems.
•Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system testing.
•Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
•OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or other safety certifications preferred.
•Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
