The TECO Energy Internship & Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students the opportunity for professional growth while meeting the business needs of the company. The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study.

Position Summary/Details:

This position will be assigned to a team within our IT Security Department, which includes our Cyber Fusion Center, Governance & Risk Team, and Identity & Access Management Team at our Ybor Data Center.

Accountabilities:

Physical Location of Co-op: Ybor Data Center Working Conditions: Mostly in a normal office environment Preferred Availability: Part-Time (up to 35 hours)

Co-Op Requirements:

Degree: Cybersecurity or Information Technology Year in School: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student.

Emera Leadership Competencies:

A pre-employment drug screening as well as a background check (including employment, criminal and motor vehicle) will also be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening.
