The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the purchasing process, manage inventory levels, cultivate vendor relationships, optimize product categories, coordinate rotations of slow-moving inventory, and manage internal pricing and price negotiations. This role is crucial in ensuring the company maintains optimal stock levels, enhances product offerings, and achieves cost savings through effective negotiation strategies.
Primary Roles / Responsibilities
•Strategy Development: Design and implement a strategic supply chain plan that aligns with business objectives and enhances operational efficiency. Inventory Management (Manage stock levels, implement control systems)
•Purchasing (Strategies, negotiate contracts, pricing, supplier evaluation)
•Vendor Relationships (Establish and maintain relationships, compliance)
•Product Category Optimization (Identify opportunities, enhance product offerings)
•Pricing (Internal pricing strategy development/maintenance, monitor market trends)
•Price Negotiations (Conduct research & analysis to lead price negotiations & cost savings)
•Logistics Coordination: Supervise transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure on-time delivery to customers and manage logistics costs.
•Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to minimize disruptions.
•Data Analysis: Use data and metrics to identify areas for improvement, track KPIs, and generate reports to measure and communicate supply chain performance.
•Budget Management: Develop, manage, and oversee the supply chain budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Previous experience in procurement or inventory management
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Excellent negotiation and communication skills
•Proficiency in inventory management software and tools
•Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
