Your contribution!
Responsible for supporting the tax team in its work and to make a significant contribution to the mission and objectives of the Innergex tax group.
Your day-to-day!•Prepare tax provision calculations for Canadian entities, or any other entity in the company, the assumptions underlying the provision (e.g. depreciation forecast), the accounting entries to be transmitted to accounting and the support for the tax notes to the financial statements;
•Participate in the entire process of filing and preparing Canadian federal and provincial income tax returns for entities, ensuring that statutory deadlines are met and tax elections are filed on time, by researching/analyzing and reviewing tax positions;
•Carry out tax research and document tax positions taken (corporate income tax, property taxes, transfer duties, etc.);
•Prepare instalment schedules, calculate balances payable and ensure payments are made on time;
•Prepare tax slips (T5, T4A-NR, T2200, etc.);
•Prepare and review certain forms, calculations and tax elections;
•Support audit processes for Canadian entities or any other corporate entity (internal, external and government authorities);
•Update tax liability projections for Canadian entities or any other corporate entity;
•Support other team members during acquisition or reorganization transactions;
•Propose solutions for continuous improvement of tax provision and tax return processes and tools;
•As part of the implementation of the new Oracle software, participate in the development of useful reports for the tax team and in the modification of tax provision calculation and tax return support files.
Your skills, our requirements!
•Undergraduate degree in accounting and recognized accounting designation (CPA);
•Post-graduate training in taxation completed or in progress, an asset;
•Very good tax knowledge combined with a strong practical sense;
•Excellent analytical and organizational skills;
•Adaptability to change in a context of rapid international growth;
•Excellent sense of collaboration;
•Sense of ethics and professional integrity;
•Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
•Foster innovation, synergies and continuous improvement;
•Knowledge of optimizing accounting tax processes, tax provision tools and tax returns;
•Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written; Spanish an asset;
•Experience in corporate taxation or with a major accounting firm;
•Experience with the use of consolidation software (One Stream) and Oracle software and the impact on the tax team on the preparation of tax provision and returns, an asset;
•Knowledge of international taxation is an asset;
•Knowledge of tax planning and optimization is an asset.

•The position is based in the company's Longueuil (Quebec) headquarters, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.
•This position is an P2 level.
