Job Overview

Analyzes mechanical failures and problems, recommends change and follows up on the implementation of agreed to changes and improvements.

•

Responsible for being on call on a rotating basis to cover plant problems. Reviews the previous nights’ incidents and recommends the necessary repairs required at the daily morning meeting.

•

Communicates daily with the Production Department in order to identify problems encountered during the previous shifts.

•

Assure that all maintenance and operating tasks in the plant are scheduled and planned as specified, following up on the quality of jobs. Work with the Maintenance Planner on major shutdown work requests with a high degree of specialization regarding instructions, human resources estimates, materials, special tools and estimated duration of the job.

•

Assists the Maintenance Supervisors training of the repair staff through on-the-job classroom training.

Qualifications:

•

BS Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

•

5 – 10 years of cement industry experience, preferably in Maintenance

•

10+ years in Maintenance

•

Planning and Organization Skills, experience with Critical Path Planning

•

Decision Making Skills – RCFA experience

•

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

•

Ability to read technical drawings and manuals

•

Budget Adherence/Planning Experience

•

BS Degree in

•

Strong understanding of engineering principles, with a focus on quantum engineering.

•

Proficient in using engineering software tools for modeling and simulation.

•

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical information clearly.

•

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

•

A proactive approach to learning new technologies and methodologies within the engineering field.
