Job Summary
The Technical Trainer (Maintenance Department) is responsible for delivering structured material to employees in both classroom and shop environments, overseeing lessons, tests, and evaluations, and maintaining communication with leaders from other departments. Additionally, they observe and evaluate technicians, ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, and strive to constantly expand their knowledge.
Responsibilities
•Deliver structured material to employees in a classroom/controlled environment.
•Have a thorough knowledge of assigned materials.
•Teach repetitive processes and skills in a shop atmosphere.
•Oversee and assign scheduled lessons, tests, and evaluations to technicians to complete.
•Reports and communicates with leaders from other departments as needed in a professional manner.
•Observe and evaluate technicians in shop and yard settings.
•Intermediate level of competence using Office Products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, Outlook, Teams, Etc.
•Advanced knowledge of digital products used by the company such as Intelie, Service Max, Cat ET Etc.
•Consistently strives to expand knowledge.
•Capable of safely operating light duty vehicles over various road conditions and terrains.
•Capable of performing general housekeeping and routine maintenance of Company property.
•Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
•High school education or equivalent.
•Deep knowledge of electronic, instrumentation, and/or mechanical systems, preferably both
•At least 3 years in a technician role, preferred
•At least 5 years of oilfield experience, preferred
•Intermediate computer knowledge and skills
•Able to work in various environments, including sitting, standing, walking, carrying up to 50lbs, working in the heat or cold, outside, or in office and class settings.
