Starting pay rate: $42.68/hr (non negotiable) Primary Purpose Of Position

The Test and Receipt Inspector is responsible for preparing, planning and performing inspections on all Safety Related nuclear plant related materials and components, and non-safety related items as required. This position evaluates documents and records in the Receiving Inspection Notice and associated logs. Additionally, the Test and Receipt Inspector develops or assists in the development of test plans and performs special tests for the purpose of commercial grade dedication, Evaluates trends and coordinates the notification of vendors of symptomatic deficiencies and verifies the calibration and certification for all equipment used during receipt inspection.

Primary Duties And Accountabilities

•

Provide input to Procurement Engineering on testing criteria.

•

Perform quality receipt inspections and Commercial Grade dedication testing, including testing and analyzing materials that will be used in a nuclear power plant.

•

Analyze deficiencies found during receipt inspections.

•

Ensure that correct receipt inspection performed for each type of material received

•

Perform calibrations and testing of equipment; maintain custody records of calibration and test equipment.

•

Process data entry/data audit

•

Evaluate documents and record results through completion of Receiving Inspection Reports and associated logs.

•

Perform routine and special inspections and tests, including those specified by the Procurement Engineering Unit.

•

Coordinate or witness inspections conducted by other Company departments or off-site testing facilities when required.

•

Determine the extent and impact of non-conformance issues, including potential effects on operating equipment installed in the plant.

•

Monitor and evaluate trends; coordinate vendor notifications for symptomatic deficiencies as needed.

•

Ensure proper documentation for all equipment and prepare additions or revisions to Receipt Inspection procedures.

•

Conduct routine surveillance activities per established procedures.

•

Disassemble and reassemble equipment according to manufacturer specifications, if necessary.

•

Support meetings and assist with additional tasks as directed by the Site Supply Chain Manager.

•

Perform technical evaluations related to shelf life and preventive maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

•

Knowledge of how system components are installed, integrated, and optimized

•

Ability to be certified as a Level II receipt Inspector per ANSI N45.2.6

•

Ability to clearly communicate both orally and in writing and work effectively across business units, functional groups, multiple levels of the Corporation and external stakeholders

•

High school diploma or equivalent.

•

Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

•

Ability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper personal and job safety conditions.

•

Ability to serve on the Emergency Response Organizational or community

•

Meets the requirements of Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) psychological, drug, alcohol, and medical testing policies and/or regulations

•

Must satisfy General Employee Training (GET) to gain site access

•

Satisfactorily complete radiation safety training (may include respirator qualifications), if required for job performance

•

Working knowledge of nuclear procurement practices, including the ability to interpret applicable codes, standards, and purchase order specifications, and to verify compliance

•

Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation and control (I&C) theories, along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints

•

4-years of experience in Quality Control Inspection as a Level II Inspector in accordance with ANSI N45.2.6, or an equivalent combination of formal education, training, and experience, including at least 2-years of practical experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronics disciplines

•

Willingness and ability to maintain regular attendance, work additional hours, be on-call, and travel to other nuclear plants, vendor sites, or industry meetings as needed to support plant operations and refueling outages

•

Exposure to heat, cold, dirt, smoke noise, climbing, ladder and platform work, confined spaces, and nuclear power plant environment including Radiation Dose Exposure
