As a large specialty construction company, the Helm Group works on a variety of projects in the mechanical, electrical, and heavy civil industries. This position will be tasked with supporting both of our tool warehouses, and this person would have the option to be located at either facility in Freeport, IL or in Bedford Park, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist the manager with the inventory, storage, and distribution of tools and equipment using web-based software systems (Align – Tool Watch)
•Maintain accurate records through consistent data entry and database management practices
•Ensure all tools are properly tracked, maintained, and returned in working order
•Assist warehouse personnel to promote safety, efficiency, and accountability
•Collaborate with field teams to meet tool and equipment needs promptly and accurately
•Continuously identify opportunities for operational improvements, applying Lean or Six Sigma principles when appropriate
•Generate and present reports using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Requirements:
•High School Diploma required, college degree (associates or bachelors) is a plus
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•Experience with web-based inventory or asset management software; daily use of Align-Tool Watch and Stratus required
•Strong organizational and time management skills
•Experience in data entry and managing databases
•Working knowledge of warehouse operations and warehouse management systems
•Knowledge of construction tools and equipment is highly preferred
•Ability to lead with confidence and communicate clearly with diverse teams
•Candidates with previous experience in the construction industry, warehouse or logistics environments will be given preference
Salary & Benefits:
•Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000 annually.
