About This Job

NSB Omega is searching for a Transmission Engineer for our MAJOR Utilities Client in St. John's, NL

Qualifications Required

•

Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil/Structural);

•

Experience with Transmission Line Design software (PLS Cadd, PLS Pole, etc.);

•

Minimum of Eight Years’ Experience in Utility Industry - Transmission Design (An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered);

•

Membership in Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador as a Professional Engineer;

•

Experience with Canadian Transmission Line Design Codes and Standards (CSA, ANSI, IEEE, ASTM, etc.);

•

Experience with Lidar Data would be an asset;

•

Experience with PLS Tower would be an asset;

•

Proven and demonstrated communication skills;

•

Experience managing and working with external engineering consultants;

•

Experience managing construction contracts and working with Contractors

•

Participant and/or leader within a multi-discipline team of both internal and external resources;

+ Experience in engineering projects development and techniques; + Experience with design of Transmission Line Structure Types; + Ability to read and interpret, civil, structural, concrete and structural steel drawings; + Experience with reviews of structural drawings identifying problems and resolutions; + Project management experience would be an asset; + Experience working with MS Office and MS Excel;
