Join us in this role where you’ll work directly with utilities and other groups to carry out the interconnection processes for utility scale wind, solar, and storage projects within a specified RTO/ISO or broader region. You’ll coordinate engineering studies and contracting negotiations that result in the successful construction of new green energy developments.

You’ll be part of the transmission team where you, together with your colleagues, will will support the Engineering, Construction, and Project Acquisition teams in understanding interconnection requirements, costs, limitations, schedules, and fatal flaw analysis.

As a team, we collaborate closely to ensure seamless project execution, maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, and navigate the regulatory landscape to drive the growth of sustainable energy infrastructure.

You’ll play an important role in:

•

managing the complete interconnection process and transmission evaluation for utility scale Wind, Solar, BESS development within a specified RTO or broader interconnection region

•

assisting Engineering and Construction teams with interconnection requirements, costs, limitations, schedules, and fatal flaw analysis including influencing design decisions for the project.

•

Supporting M&A and greenfield development of prospective projects and divestments including congestion risk and transmission interconnections

•

owning and managing interconnection relationships and developing market awareness for assets through construction and commercial operations throughout the life of the asset

•

managing contractor relationships in support of third-party financing reviews (tax equity, farm-downs, etc.) of Onshore assets.

•

provide consulting expertise to Finance in portfolio assessment activities including potential divestments.

To succeed in the role, you:

•

have a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

•

have mid-level experience in Generator Interconnection or Transmission System Operations

•

have prior experience with utilities in ERCOT/MISO/WECC

•

understand FERC/NERC/RTO processes and interplay, including Energy Markets

•

are able to run Powerflow software such as PSS/E, Tara, Power World, and/or PSLF

•

have strong communication skills and the ability to influence others.
