Underground Utility Installer

American Water Specialties, based in Cleveland, Georgia, has provided many North Georgia communities with quality electrical and water service since 1987. Our company provides water installation and repair services to residential and commercial customers, as well as electrical services.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Underground Water Utility Installer to join our team. As an integral part of our utility infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining underground water utility systems. Your duties will include:

- Installing water mains, pipes, valves, and meters according to blueprints and specifications.

- Excavating trenches using hand tools or machinery, ensuring proper depth and slope for pipe installation.

- Connecting pipes and fittings, applying appropriate seals and joints.

- Testing installed systems for leaks and ensuring proper functionality.

- Backfilling trenches and restoring work sites to their original condition.

- Perform general maintenance duties as needed.

- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an underground utility installer or similar role.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

- Familiarity with various pipe materials, installation techniques, and equipment.

- Ability to operate excavation machinery and hand tools safely and effectively. Experience with a directional drill is a plus.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

-Ability to follow and complete work order instructions and documentation as required.

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
