Utility Meter Reader

We're currently hiring for a Part Time Meter Reader to cover the cover the Salmon arm and Vernon/Kelowna areas! NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you! Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, have a reliable vehicle and have a clean criminal and driving record. Successful candidates must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as a condition of employment, unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the BC Human Rights Code.

Position is expected to work roughly 10-15 days/month, plus sick and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for reading gas meters and recording volume used by residential and commercial consumers to ensure accurate consumption and billing. May perform visual meter inspection to assess the condition and overall operation of the meter and note any visible defects or issues.
