We are currently seeking a Ventilation Sr. Engineer to join our Mine Engineering team in Sudbury.
The role of Ventilation Engineer manages the mine’s ventilation system on a day-to-day basis considering performance, cost and efficiency, provides guidance to the mine operations to ensure integrity of assets, compliance to standards and legislative compliance. The role provides direction to mine leaders during emergencies through coordination and implementation of the mine Emergency Preparedness Plan. The role develops scopes of work with respect to ventilation projects and supports special projects to improve and optimize mine ventilation systems.
The role is responsible for ventilation system troubleshooting, participating in investigations, maintaining the Ventilation Design Package(s) and numerical models, integrating the 3 to 36 month ventilation plan into the 0 to 3 month mine execution plan, auditing the quality of data collection including regulatory measurements, recommending and trialing new products, developing and supporting the collection of KPI data.
This role functions as a key resource to manage and ensure the integrity of a mine’s ventilation system.
