In your role as

Vice President, IT/OT Strategy & Portfolio Management

, you are responsible for building, developing and spearheading the Strategy & Portfolio Management team within RWE Clean Energy’s IT/OT function. Your role will focus on the continuous development of RWE Clean Energy’s IT/OT strategy and execution, overseeing the organization’s enterprise architecture discipline and ensure delivery portfolio alignment against set governance, align and optimize the IT/OT project and product delivery portfolio against organizational, regulatory and market needs in close collaboration with your stakeholder base across RWE.

Role Responsibilities:

Build, lead and develop RWE Clean Energy’s IT/OT Strategy & Portfolio Management Team
Develop and execute on the organization’s IT/OT strategy in close collaboration with other departments across RWE group
Establish agile, value driven portfolio management processes to cater for optimization of both project and product investment decisions and delivery across the organization’s tech portfolio
Provide strategic oversight for the RWECE IT/OT enterprise architecture, ensuring its standardization, integration, and alignment with the strategic goals
Lead the successful planning, delegation, monitoring, and control of strategic projects within the portfolio, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
Maintain operational excellence on financial management in close collaboration with finance departments of RWE Clean Energy to drive cost and value transparency for strategic portfolio decisions
Spearhead IT/OT risk management and oversee associated mitigation measures, safeguarding departmental information and enabling success
Drive ongoing improvement and foster innovation within the IT/OT department, aligning practices and services with the dynamic business needs of RWE Clean Energy
Drive continuous improvement, value creation, and opex reduction initiatives
Collaborate with key stakeholders incl. senior executives of RWE Clean Energy and RWE Group, syndicating strategic decisions and portfolio decisions to ensure comprehensive alignment


Job Requirements and Experiences:

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Computer Science or related field of studies
Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 18 years of relevant experience in progressing leadership roles with demonstrated track record of leading high performing teams
Experience in developing technology strategies with track record in orchestration across different stakeholder groups as well as implementation
Deep industry expertise in energy, specifically renewables development and utilities, in order to understand market drivers, technology trends, and liase with senior business level stakeholders
Extensive technology experience with competency across IT and OT
Proven track record in successfully leading global strategic projects and teams across all phases (strategy definition, planning, and execution)
Excellent communication and people management skills, including the ability to drive discussions and decisions across different stakeholders
This position is an office-based role with expected travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations
Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time

Pay range:

The annual base salary range for this position in New York and Chicago is $235,000 - $350,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
