Role Overview
The Warehouse Associate supports warehouse operations through inventory handling, equipment logistics, and mechanical maintenance. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on mechanical skills and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments.
•Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
•Perform basic mechanical maintenance and repairs on tools, trailers, and warehouse machinery.
•Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
•Assist with packing, shipping, and inventory control.
•Communicate with field supervisors and project managers on equipment needs.
Specific Mechanical Skills Required:
•Basic mechanical troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve issues with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and small engines.
•Preventive maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure operational readiness.
•Tool proficiency: Use of hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools (drills, grinders) for minor repairs.
•Mechanical assembly/disassembly: Ability to assemble or disassemble mechanical components for repair or transport.
•Hydraulic and pneumatic systems familiarity: Understanding of basic hydraulic and air-powered systems used in warehouse equipment.
•Mechanical documentation: Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams or manuals.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED.
•1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
•Mechanical aptitude or vocational training in mechanics.
•Forklift certification preferred.
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
