Duties/Responsibilities/Skills:
•Utilize MIG and/or TIG for welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
•Finish parts (straighten, grind, polish, wipe down, etc.) per spec on print or lead’s instruction.
•Read and interpret customer drawings.
•Produce quality, error free parts with precision on customer specifications.
•Review traveler/prints to determine what needs to be fabricated/welded.
•Read blueprints, tape measure, and caliper.
•Double check parts to spec before and after fabricating, then have another approved person check.
•Be able to follow directions in a fast-paced environment while completing jobs in allotted time frames.
•Have great communication skills and be detail oriented.
Experience:
•Can demonstrate welding/fabricating knowledge and skill
•Food grade polishing experience is a plus.
•At least 1 year of blueprint reading (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
•Prolonged periods of standing and walking with frequent pulling, pushing, lifting, & bending.
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
•All personal protective equipment must be worn where necessary (i.e. safety glasses, shoes, etc.)
Education:
•High School or equivalent preferred
Salary:
•Starting at $18- $28/hour (based on knowledge and experience)
