Welder/Torcher

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Torcher to join our team. As a Torcher, you will play a crucial role in our operation by operating torches to cut, trim, or shape metal components according to specifications for items that being prepared for the recycling process.

Duties

-Reduces the size of a variety of metal objects and items by use of flame cutting and/or torching in a timely and effective manner

-Dismantles machinery and other items via a variety of mechanical means, segregate material by type.

-When necessary, weigh products or materials and record weight and other necessary product information.

-Inspect finished pieces for quality assurance

-Maintain and clean torch equipment; perform routine pre-post inspections on equipment as per instructions and reporting

-Ensure proper us of required PPE

-Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Experience

- At least 3+ years of experience in operating torches or similar equipment is required; certification desired.

- Above average knowledge with safety procedures and protocols in an industrial environment, specific to torching/welding.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
