Overview
EGS, a leader in innovative civil engineering and environmental permitting solutions, is seeking a forward-thinking Artificial Intelligence Trainer to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping how AI is integrated across our firm, streamlining our design workflows and boosting overall efficiency. You’ll collaborate closely with company leadership, as well as with design engineers, project managers, and administrative staff to ensure that AI systems are tailored to meet the unique needs of our diverse company and projects.
Responsibilities
The AI Trainer will be responsible for developing, training, and optimizing intelligent agents and machine learning models that support engineering design, data processing, and project workflows. This includes curating datasets, selecting appropriate AI tools and frameworks, and implementing solutions that automate routine tasks, assist with decision-making, and enhance productivity across teams. You’ll also lead internal workshops and knowledge sessions to help team members engage with AI-driven tools effectively. This candidate will be the first hire for our Firm in the AI field, and will be working with EGS's executive team to incorporate AI workflows throughout the company.
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with a very strong background in computer science and machine learning (or a related field), and for candidates who demonstrate experience in developing AI models in real-world environments. Familiarity with engineering workflows, CAD/BIM tools, and geospatial software (GIS) is a significant plus. The ideal candidate will have experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and prompt engineering for LLMs, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills. A college degree in computer science or computer engineering (or other degrees in this field) a plus, but not a requirement.
