The Opportunity:

Make your mark while you grow your career! As the Assistant Production Foreman, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of field operations in the Townsend Blair Daiber areas north of Fort St. John. Leading a team of approximately 22 staff and a Montney production base of 425 MMcf/d gas, 4000 BBL/d NGL. You will be responsible for facilitating safe, reliable and cost-effective production of the natural gas wells and facilities in the area.

As a leader within the team, you will be required to support and promote our Culture of Safety and Continuous Improvement. Effective leadership, communication and coordination skills are essential, as a key function of this role is effectively engaging stakeholders including: local land owners, the MD & Counties, and the Facility, Exploitation and Subsurface teams based in Calgary.

Job location: Fort St. John, BC
Shift schedule: 8 x 6 rotation, Wednesday to Wednesday

Key Accountabilities:

Provide leadership, knowledge and direction to field staff towards Canadian Natural's Safety Management Systems.
Maximize safe well production and facility throughout by working closely with Production Foreman, Maintenance Foreman, EHS Coordinator, Technical and Administration Teams to maintain runtime performance of > 98% from wellhead to sales.
Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets while maintaining cost control for your area.
Provide leadership and supervision to field staff by on-site work planning and day-to-day direction while managing staff performance, spend >80% of time in the field and
Maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders


What You Bring to the Role:

7+ years of production/field experience in an operations role, with primary focus on natural gas production both sweet and sour (Maintenance trade experience may also be considered)
Provide planning and economics to projects, T/A and routine Preventative maintenance in the area
Working knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations and budget preparation experience
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification preferred
Skilled communication, coaching and training abilities related to facility equipment, processes and interactions (plant to field and site to site)
Strong data analysis and computer skills with SCADA, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Production Tracker, Accumap, PVR

Note: This is a BC based position – the salary range is estimated to be between $128,400 – $145,000.
