Job Summary:
Operate and setup CNC Lathe Machines to fabricate precision components parts.
Reporting To:
Production Manager
Essential Job Functions
•Operates and sets up CNC Lathe machines.
•Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and other accessories according to specifications
•Appropriately modify or edit programs.
•Make appropriate offsets and adjustments to tools.
•Read and interpret blueprints.
•Properly use calipers, veneers, and thread gauges.
•Complete required inspection checks.
•Properly and safely load and unload machines.
•Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machines.
•Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
•Utilize and abide by all safety procedures.
•Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Skills and Abilities
•Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbal and written
•Attention to detail with precision equipment and products
•Ability to modify or edit CNC programs at the machine.
•Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
•Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Education and Experience
•High school diploma or GED required. State Apprentice Program Certification in CNC a plus
•4+ years as setup and operator experience in CNC Lathe machining, tsugamis preferred.
•Ability to hold tight tolerances.
Physical Requirements
•Required to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods of time.
•Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 20lbs.
