Job Title: CNC Swiss Machinist

Location: Alger Precision Machining, LLC

Key Responsibilities:

•

Machine Setup and Operation:

•

Set up CNC Swiss machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar)

•

Operate machines to produce precision components while meeting tight tolerances and specifications.

•

5S Manufacturing Excellence:

•

Implement and maintain 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to create and sustain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

•

Quality Assurance and Troubleshooting:

•

Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production runs, conducting inspections with precision measurement tools.

•

Attention to detail

•

Visual inspections

•

Address tooling, programming, or mechanical issues to maintain high productivity and quality standards.

•

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

•

Work closely with team members to optimize setups, reduce cycle times, and improve manufacturing processes.

•

Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.

Qualifications:

•

Experience:

•

At least 2 years of experience as a CNC Swiss Setup Operator or equivalent role.

•

Familiarity with CNC Swiss machine brands such as Citizen, Star, or Tsugami.

•

Technical Skills:

•

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and work orders.

•

Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code/M-code) and tool offsets.

•

Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

•

Commitment to 5S:

•

Proven ability to adhere to and promote 5S principles in a manufacturing environment.

•

A mindset focused on organization, cleanliness, and continuous improvement.

•

•

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

•

Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Schedule:

•

Standard schedule: 4/10 work weeks (four 10-hour days).

•

Optional overtime available based on production demands.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
