Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Store Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining store organization, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position requires a strong understanding of retail math and cash handling, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Responsibilities
•
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
•
Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
•
Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to provide informed recommendations.
•
Perform basic retail math calculations for pricing and discounts.
•
Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays.
•
Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement.
•
Supervise junior staff members, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
•
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment.
•
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.
Skills
•
Proficient in retail math and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
•
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash register operations.
•
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
•
Previous experience in a grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
•
Ability to supervise staff and foster a positive team environment.
•
Experience in cash handling procedures to ensure financial accuracy.
•
Capable of conducting engaging product demos to attract customer interest.
