Job Overview
Concrete, masonry, and structural steel contractor servicing South Florida seeks motivated individual with a minimum 5-years experience creating detailed concrete cost estimates. Successful candidate must have a substantial experience utilizing on-screen computer aided quantity take-offs.
Responsibilities
•
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
•
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
•
Utilize software tools such as Plan Swift, On Center, Sage, or similar for accurate cost estimation and reporting.
•
Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
Experience
•
5+ years minimum with on-screen take-offs
•
Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
•
Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
•
Proficiency in using estimating software such as Plan Swift, On Center, Sage, or similar.
•
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
•
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
•
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
