In this critical role, you will lead, grow, and oversee all vertical and site development construction operations across residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

•

Build, lead, mentor, and manage Site Development, Vertical Construction, and Warranty teams.

•

Set and execute strategic goals for the construction department aligned with company values and vision.

•

Collaborate with internal departments - sales, design, development, finance - to deliver best-in-class service to clients and trade partners.

•

Drive operational excellence across all construction activities, from preconstruction to final warranty delivery.

•

Oversee site planning, design reviews, permitting coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and overall project execution.

•

Develop, refine, and implement efficient construction techniques and production processes.

•

Ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery with a relentless focus on high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

•

Manage construction contracts, civil and architectural plans, scopes of work, and value engineering initiatives.

•

Lead initiatives to enhance safety compliance, jobsite appearance standards, and warranty issue resolution.

•

Monitor project financials, control variance spend, and proactively identify areas for operational improvements.

•

Represent the construction department in leadership and strategic planning meetings, influencing company growth and culture.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience (5+ years) as a Director of Construction, Director of Operations, Senior Project Executive, or equivalent leadership role in residential and/or commercial construction.

•

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.

•

Deep knowledge of construction operations, site development, vertical construction, and warranty management.

•

Strong leadership, mentoring, organizational, and strategic planning skills.

•

Proficient in project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and operational oversight.

•

Ability to read and interpret civil plans, architectural drawings, and specifications.

•

Committed to fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.

•

Valid Driver's License required.

•

Physical ability to visit jobsites in various weather conditions as needed.

Work Schedule

Full-Time, Monday through Friday, with occasional availability for strategic planning and site meetings as needed.

Work Location:

Based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, with travel to projects across Routt, Moffat, and Jackson counties.
