The Drafting Manager will lead and oversee the Drafting department of Lywood Automation. This role will manage the creation and handling of technical drawings and schematics for automation and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. This role requires close collaboration with internal team members as well as external team members like engineers and project managers to deliver precise and timely design solutions.
· Lead the development of detailed technical drawings and schematics for automation and control systems using BIM and CAD tools.
· Ensure designs are accurate, functional, and aligned with project requirements.
· Oversee modifications to existing drawings based on client feedback, field changes, or project updates.
· Implement a systematic approach to track and document all revisions.
· Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
· Stay updated with the latest industry standards and integrate them into the drafting processes.
· Work closely with engineers and project managers to align designs with project specifications and timelines.
· Facilitate effective communication between the drafting team and other departments to ensure cohesive project execution.
· Maintain organized records of all drafting outputs, including drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
· Implement efficient document control procedures to ensure easy retrieval and reference.
· Prepare, compile, and review submittal packages for client approval, ensuring all required documentation and drawings meet project specifications and deadlines.
· Coordinate with clients to address any questions or concerns regarding submittals.
· Manage and mentor a team of drafters and designers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
· Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment within the drafting department.
