Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drafting Manager to lead our drafting team in creating precise and detailed technical drawings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design and be proficient in various drafting software. As the Drafting Manager, you will oversee the drafting process, ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and project specifications while mentoring junior drafters and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
•
Lead and manage the drafting team to ensure timely completion of projects.
•
Develop and review technical drawings using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, and MicroStation.
•
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and specifications.
•
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in all drafting activities.
•
Provide training and mentorship to junior drafters, fostering skill development within the team.
•
Conduct quality control checks on completed drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•
Stay updated on advancements in drafting technology and software to improve efficiency.
Skills
•
Proficiency in drafting software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation, NavisWorks, Sketchup, and CAD.
•
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
•
Ability to create detailed 2D animations for presentations or project proposals.
•
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
•
Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
•
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
