Electrical Apprentice

Job Overview:

We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kick-start their career in the electrical field. The ideal candidate will assist experienced electricians in various tasks to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures under the guidance of a journeyman/journeywoman electrician.

- Learn to read and interpret blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment.

- Help with testing electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.

- Gain knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems.

- Assist in frame carpentry for electrical boxes and supports.

- Work on construction sites to assist with wiring installations.

- Shadow industrial electricians to understand complex electrical systems.

Experience:

- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines.

- Basic understanding of power tools used in electrical work.

- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures on construction sites.

- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
