Location: Herriman, UT

Rotation: 14 days on/14 days off

Shift: 12 hour shift/ Day&Night Shifts

Description

The primary role of an electrician is to install, wire, maintain & perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to electric equipment in surface and underground areas.

Duties And Responsibilities

•

Capable of troubleshooting, diagnostics testing and interpretation, maintenance and repair of:

•

ventilation fans, underground dewater pumps, lighting, electric/hydraulic mobile equipment, PLC and communication equipment, electronics, high voltage and low voltage power and control systems and ground fault monitor systems;

•

Assist and carry out repairs and maintenance to all underground sub-stations;

•

Must be capable of hanging 4/0 cable overhead;

•

Fabricate electrical panels and other necessary installation of electrical cables;

•

Install electrical apparatus;

•

Read, interpret, and apply blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications for industrial electrical setups.

•

Complete all service sheets and document additional repairs performed on each task

•

Implement preventive maintenance schedules and document maintenance records.

•

Handle general electrical repairs, including work on pumps and small pumping stations.

•

Maintain a professional demeanor with colleagues, subcontractors, and clients.

•

Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area.

•

Understand and comply with all PPE requirements in work areas

•

Provide your own basic hand tools

•

Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner;

•

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned;

Required Skills And Qualifications

•

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an underground mining environment.

•

Journeyman Electrician Certification.

•

Experience with Sandvik and Epiroc development drill maintenance is a plus.

•

Must be capable of reading & understanding electrical drawings and schematics.

•

Must have a good knowledge and understanding of the applicable electrical code and regulations.

•

Must be capable of reading and interpreting basic electrical instruments and testers.

•

Perform safely and timely emergency repairs to equipment.

•

NFPA70E certification Preferred.

•

Must be able to follow procedures to ensure safety and to control equipment damage.

Health And Safety

•

Following Company health and safety standards, MSHA, and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to Supervisor

•

Practice proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment

•

Work in accordance with local legislation

Must be able to provide proof of identity and legal right to work in the USA at time of hire.
