Position Overview: As we continue to grow in the greater Oklahoma City metro area, we are seeking a Finance Manager to help strengthen our financial operations and support our expansion. This is a strategic position with direct oversight of an accountant who will handle day-to-day accounting operations. As Finance Manager, you will focus on high-level financial strategy, business intelligence, and financial planning to guide company growth and maximize profitability across our portfolio of remodeling projects.


Key Responsibilities:


Department Establishment:

Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's growth objectives.
Establish and maintain financial systems and controls to support business operations.
Train and manage the company accountant who will handle day-to-day accounting tasks – Account reconciliation, Accounts Payable, etc.


Financial Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Present financial insights to leadership and recommend actions based on analysis to support strategic initiatives and business planning
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports


Budgeting & Forecasting:

Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
Monitor departmental budget adherence and provide variance analysis.
Develop and maintain sophisticated financial forecasting models to predict industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities to inform business development and guide resource allocation


Cash Flow & Risk Management:

Lead financial planning activities including daily cash flow forecasting, assessing financial risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Manage project-based accounting for multiple ongoing remodeling projects, tracking costs and profitability
Analyze job costs and pricing structures to optimize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing


Strategic Planning:

Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance efficiency in our financial operations
Create and track performance metrics to evaluate business success across departments
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into financial implications
Design pricing strategies and financial structures to optimize margins while maintaining market competitiveness


Compliance & Controls:

Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Coordinate and liaise with external financial experts


Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in financial analysis or management
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA required.
Experience in construction, remodeling, or home improvement industries
Proficiency in Quickbooks Online, Buildertrend and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Proven ability to translate financial insights into business strategy, scaling financial operations
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead financial initiatives.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and training accounting staff
Strategic thinking with ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to critical details
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple project finances simultaneously
