Foreman:
Responsibilities
•
Assist Superintendent with all functions of the job site as needed.
•
Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
•
Assist Superintendent with schedules and monitor attendance of crew
•
Allocate general and daily responsibilities
•
Supervise and train laborers, operators, or temp workers onsite.
•
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
•
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
•
Resolve problems when they arise
•
Report on progress to Superintendent
Skills and Abilities
•
Experience In Dirt, base, and utilities: Concrete/Asphalt a plus
•
Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
•
Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
•
Organizational and leadership skills
•
Ability to communicate and report effectively
•
Aptitude in math
•
Ability to operate Heavy Equipment – GPS a plus
•
Attention to Safety
Requirements
•
Safety Sensitive Position
•
Must be 18 years of age or older.
•
Must have reliable transportation.
•
Must have the ability to work extended hours as required by the workload.
•
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in all types of terrain
•
Able to meet all physical requirements such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
•
Ability to work around loud noises can tolerate being exposed to odors, gases, dust, etc.
•
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and in excavated areas.
