General Construction Laborer

River City Septic & Excavating is currently looking to add a Construction Laborer to our team!

We specialize in all facets of septic and excavation work. We handle all types of septic systems, septic repairs, tank pumping, water and sewer lines, and camera location of tanks. Our excavation services include site development, from demolition work to tree work and stump removal, lakes, ponds, culverts, basements and driveways. River City Septic and Excavating services also include septic inspections and snow removal.

Job Duties:

- Maintenance of company owned tractors, pump trucks, dump trucks, service trucks, and other company vehicles

- Maintenance of shop locations to include but not limited to, trash removal from offices, sweeping of shop floors and service/storage areas

- Maintenance of company equipment such as, rooters, power tools, miscellaneous septic and waterline instruments

- Heavy load of manual excavation, mainly hand digging on site to locate utilities during septic repairs/installations, and water line repairs/installations

- Heavy lifting in regard to septic supplies, pipe, concrete lids etc. as needed

- Loading of supplies daily for scheduled jobs

- Securing tractors on trailers for mobilization to job sites from shop locations

- Assistance to Pump Truck drivers with pumping tanks, stringing/coupling hoses, and preparation of tanks for pumping

- Plumbing of septic systems during installations and repairs

- Tracking inventory of septic/water line supplies, and notifying management of reorder necessities to maintain stock of product

- Transportation of supplies from suppliers to shop locations, and job sites

- Shooting grade with laser/grade stick on job sites in assistance to Excavation/Installation team

- Assisting on job sites as requested by Lead Excavator

- Winter months snow plow, operation of plow trucks and/or plow tractors

- Ad hoc duties and responsibilities as seen fit by management

River City Septic & Excavating offers great opportunity for advancement within the company starting in the Construction Laborer position. Opportunity to obtain a CDL license opens the path for advancement into pump truck driving, material trucking, and transportation of heavy equipment. With experience an individual may also grow into operation of excavation machinery/ tractors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
