Purpose:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position will be responsible for developing business relationships with customers and maintaining superior standards for Messer's customer services. A key function of this position is to focus on business development for their region and for Messer as a whole.
This position responsible for customer deliveries and pickups while positively representing our organization to Messer customers by providing exceptional customer service.
What you’ll do:
Inside Sales Representative :
•Advise customers who come into the store and perform related tasks such as preparing and tracking orders.
•Provide administrative and technical support to internal customers.
•Implement creative customer service techniques, demonstrate ability to source products and maintain satisfactory inventory levels.
•Ability to communicate at multiple levels with external customers to increase counter sales through up-selling.
•Assist the Branch Manager in achieving all key performance indicators (critical measures), safety targets and excellent net operating profit.
•Responsible for entering invoices into SAP, preparing credit notes, sorting documents, filing and drafting.
•Actively solicits new sales in-store and through outbound calls.
•Improve counter sales and respond to telephone inquiries from customers or potential customers.
Delivery Driver
•Deliver, load and unload goods and cylinders containing gaseous products to customer sites within the assigned geographical area.
•Manage the updating of loads and all required vehicle documentation, ensuring that they are completed accurately and match truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
•Establish and maintain good relations with customers by listening to their requests and helping to resolve them.
•Ensure compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations.
•Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies, ensuring that all safety features are in good working order and reporting any hazards to the manager.
•Perform administrative duties including the use of portable technology to process deliveries and reconcile agent consignment balances.
What it takes:
Education and Experience:
•Minimum 1 year inside sales or administrative experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
•Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
•Computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
•Class 3 driver's license required.
•At least one year's driving experience with a clean driving record and training in a recognized driving school or three years' driving experience.
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
