Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented janitor to join our team. The janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment in and around the facility. This includes performing routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and reporting any safety hazards or repair needs.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
•
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in hallways, offices, and other public or staff areas.
•
Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.
•
Dust and clean furniture, windows, and other surfaces.
•
Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
•
Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
•
Report any damages, repairs, or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
•
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
•
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
•
Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus.
•
Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor buffers, etc.).
•
Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
•
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
•
Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
•
Reliable and punctual.
Work Environment:
•
Indoor and outdoor work environment.
•
May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials.
•
Evening or weekend shifts may be required depending on facility hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
