Marketing Communications Specialist I

Position Description

The Marketing Communications Specialist will work within Trimark’s Business Development team to support development, coordination, and execution of marketing strategies and tactics. This role will help strengthen our brand, engage target audiences, support sales, and effectively communicate our value proposition.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in marketing or corporate communications with direct experience in the utility-scale renewable energy or SCADA sectors.

Primary Responsibilities

Write and edit content for use in announcements, white papers, case studies, web content, product literature, social media, email marketing, etc.

Collaborate on messaging and positioning to articulate value proposition and differentiate technical concepts in a customer-centric manner.

Interface with sales, technical subject experts, executive team, and marketing director to ensure technical accuracy and consistent brand application across published materials.

Participate in planning, coordinating, executing, and representing the company in trade shows and events. Includes logistics, booth setup, promotional materials, travel coordination, and follow-up.

Obtain cost estimates, prepare project budgets, prepare purchase order requests, and submit invoices as required to conduct marketing efforts.

Develop and track enterprise editorial and advertising calendar across organic and paid media and social outlets. Manage internal team progress and deadlines to move content from concept thru input, draft, technical review, and submission.

Manage social media programs with writing, graphics, posting, monitoring, and responding as required to support marketing objectives including brand consistency, message, frequency, etc.

Support a range of marketing projects and activities as necessary.

Employee may be required to sit for long periods of time using a keyboard and monitor display, travel to other locations, lift up to 20lbs, and push/pull up to 50lbs. Must be able to organize and prioritize work in accordance with deadlines, adapt behavior and work methods in response to changing conditions or challenges. Employee will be involved with sustained activity required for analysis, reasoning, and problem solving. Must be able to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships, recognize emotionally charged issues and respond appropriately, act with professionalism, and work both independently and collaboratively. Must be able to proactively encourage a work environment that encourages innovation and creative solutions and be able to develop effective working relationships with all levels of the company and outside partners.

Work Environment

The majority of work will be performed in a professional, climate-controlled office setting, with occasional minor fluctuations in temperature. Employee will typically work at an assigned desk under standard office lighting. This role also involves periodic travel to industry events, trade shows, and client-facing marketing functions, where the Marketing Communications Specialist will represent Trimark and support brand engagement and promotional activities. Travel will be conducted using a company-provided vehicle when necessary.
