About the Role

The Meter Reader reports to the Meter Services Supervisor at Bermex. This position plays a key role in reading and inspecting gas, electric, and/or water meters. This position also requires a high degree of walking in outdoor environmental conditions, excellent time management, and exceptional flexibility day to day.

What You’ll DoMeter Reading:* Read meters on a daily and/or special basis, typically on a customer’s premises for service bills.

Read Meters in Various Environmental Conditions:* Extensively walk and stand for much of the workday.

Customer Communication:* Refer all consumer complaints to the appropriate authorities.

Other duties as assigned.

About YouMust Haves:* Education: None. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice to Have:* Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Your Skills:* Ability to multi-task, and work independently, and as a team.

This role would not be a good fit if you:* Do not enjoy working independently

Drug/Alcohol Testing:* Drug/alcohol testing is required

Where We Work

Employees will begin their day at the local office where they will pick up their company vehicle, equipment, and assignments for the day.
