Job Description
Dozier Crane & Rigging (DCR) is looking for a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair cranes and tractor/trailers. Applicants must be willing to work overtime and travel. Pay is dependent upon skills and experience. Applicants must have their own hand tools.
Responsibilities
•
Understands and follows alignment procedures for aligning shafts, couplings or other similar items
•
Troubleshoots hydraulic system on mobile cranes
•
Submits proper documentation for ordering material and parts
•
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
•
Must have a knowledge and ability to properly adjust and repair crane brake systems
•
Test operates cranes to verify proper operations
•
Understands industry safe work practices
•
Repairs electro-mechanical equipment if needed
•
Repairs and maintains cranes, vertical transportation equipment (VTE) such as lifts, and trackage, and elevators using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments
•
Able to plan and schedule work and resources, ordering parts and report
Qualifications
•
Ability to perform task independently without direct supervision
•
Safe work habits and history
•
Willingness to travel to various job sites
•
A minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician
•
Demonstrate competency in the diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of various mobile cranes
•
Experience in preventative maintenance (oil changes) and light equipment repair (break jobs)
Job Type: Full-time
