We are seeking candidates interested in training for a career as an Operator Driver. All training is fully paid.
The Operator Driver In-Training opportunity starts as a one-year term training opportunity with the potential to transfer to full-time
employment as a Manitoba Hydro Operator Driver. Those in the Operator Driver In-Training Program will be classified as a Labourer
for the first six months and then progress to an Operator Driver I when training requirements are complete. Full training progression
consists of on-the-job training with two levels of competency-based schools that will lead to attaining Operator Driver II certification.
During your paid training, you will be exposed to work and equipment training opportunities at various locations throughout the
Labourers/Operator Drivers operate and maintain power tools, hand tools, equipment, and assigned vehicles. You will be trained on
equipment such as Bucket Trucks, Digger Trucks, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Forklifts, Stake Deck and Dump Bodies, Skid
Steers, ATVs and UTVs, Tensioner/Pullers, and Mini Carrier and attachments.
Opportunities will be available throughout the province, with crews based out of Winnipeg, Selkirk, and Brandon. This posting will be
used to select candidates with various start dates in 2025.

As part of the selection process, candidates will be required to complete a questionnaire to determine how well a candidate's abilities
match the requirements of the job. Candidates will also participate in a one-day pre-employment skills assessment and trade
orientation session, which provides candidates with the opportunity to demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and transfer
knowledge. Candidates selected for this session will be required to provide a current driver's abstract.

All candidates will start within the salary range of the Labourer classification.
The salary range for the Labourer entry classification is $20.30-$26.48 Hourly, $38,902.24-$50,747.84 Annually.
The salary range for the Operator Driver I classification is $22.59-$31.52 Hourly, $43,295.46-$60,402.94 Annually.
The salary range for the Operator Driver II classification is $26.72-$34.99 Hourly, $51,208.04-$67,056.86 Annually.
