Where You Will Work

Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

Description

Under close supervision, provides office and clerical support for the Library.

•

Provide customer service, answer routine inquiries, and refer patrons in need of professional assistance to the Librarian and/or Assistant Librarian

•

Answer telephone calls, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate personnel

•

Check library materials in and out

•

Sort and file registration forms, reports, correspondence and related documents

•

Assist in maintaining library forms, records and files

•

Type standard forms, letters and other materials from draft

•

Post information

•

Perform other clerical duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

•

Six (6) months of office and clerical experience

•

Basic knowledge of general office procedures, methods and equipment

•

Able to use a variety of computer software, including word processing, database and spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Office Suite)

•

Skilled in typing and word processing

•

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Preferred

•

High School diploma or GED

•

Previous experience working in a library

Criteria/Conditions

•

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

•

Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

•

Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

•

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

•

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $16.00 - $21.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
