Job Title: Production Operations Leader
Department: Production
Location: Houston, TX
Reports To: Production Manager
Summary:
The Production Operations Leader is responsible for safe and efficient production operations within KTG's South Texas assets. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•
Lead and supervise all aspects of Production Operations, including but not limited to:
•
Daily production operation activity oversight.
•
Development of field-based staff to meet the needs of a rapidly growing organization.
•
Supervision of field-based operations personnel.
•
Strategic planning and implementation of processes to match the pace of production growth while remaining a nimble organization.
•
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, industry best practices, and KTG's safety policies.
•
Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges as they arise.
•
Monitor and track LOE and look for opportunities for cost improvement.
•
Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, service providers, and regulatory agencies.
•
Mentor and train junior team members on safe work practices and technical procedures.
•
Continuously improve production operations processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
•
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Geology) to optimize well performance.
•
Qualifications:Stay abreast of industry advancements in production technologies and techniques.
•
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field preferred.
•
Minimum of 15 years of experience. High pressure gas production experience preferred.
•
Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
•
Experience with emergency response planning and reaction.
•
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
•
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•
Willingness to travel to the field approximately 25% of the time.
•
Strong safety and environmental awareness.
Required Skills:
•
Leadership with the ability to engage at a detailed technical level as needed.
•
Ability to simplify complicated operational situations and resolve in a prioritized manner.
•
Knowledge of relevant industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
Physical Demands:
•
Ability to work in challenging field environments, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
•
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
