About This Job

Position Summary

The Sr. Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring the company’s accounting records are complete and accurate and financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Essential Functions

•

Meet the physical demands of the position as defined in the Physical Demands Analysis

•

Prepare and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation to properly reflect financial transactions of the company

•

Support the company’s business through the preparation of financial analysis

•

Perform financial analysis to support business decisions

•

Prepare journal entries and related accounting analysis for moderate to complex accounting areas

•

Perform technical accounting research and apply accounting standards to business transactions

•

Prepare memorandum to document and support accounting positions taken

•

Prepare, analyze and distribute financial reports

•

Reconcile general ledger accounts and participate in monthly closing

•

Perform and document assigned internal controls

•

Assist in identifying areas of improvement and implementing enhancements

•

Commitment to month-end closure deadlines

•

Other job duties as assigned

•

Comply with Company drug and alcohol program

$95,000 / year DOE
