Purpose: The Senior Project Engineer, alongside project management team and superintendent,
help lead the day-to-day management of construction activities for designated projects to
Oversee the coordination of submittals and maintain the submittal log
Ensure timely review of submittals and shop drawings
Lead the maintenance of RFI log and respond to pertinent project questions
Monitor production on self-performed work and help ensure production goals are met
Collaborate with Superintendents and assist in the management of subcontractors
Work closely with safety group to ensure applicable safety programs are upheld
Prepare status reports, participate in status meetings, and develop meeting minutes
Mentor and guide project engineers on designated projects as needed
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
4-6 years of experience in commercial construction.Relevant experience supporting $10+ million projects from conception through completion.
Ability to lead by example and mentor others
Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
Success factors include being a self-starter, strong work ethic, team player, time
Proficient in Microsoft Office, and P6; Vista experience a plus, but not required.
Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Noise level in the office environment is usually quiet.
