SaskPower is recruiting for the role of Digital Services Specialist (Product Analyst) for our saskpower.com product team. This role is accountable to provide subject matter expertise as a DevOps Product Analyst in Digital Services. Technologies include Sitecore Web Experience Platform, and related specialized functions and integrations. As a member of SaskPower’s out of scope team, this position is responsible to act as a leader and central point of contact for both business and technical teams, providing expert advice and direction. As a member of Digital Services, this role will follow our usability and accessibility standards while maintaining a focus on customer and business partner enablement.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Product analyst for our saskpower.com team• Product analyst responsibilities: o subject matter expert of the product, o how it is used and what functions it provides to the business / customer; o resolution of product incidents; o change management; o management of product backlog; o coordinate sprint planning and delivery; o works with the business to understand/document user stories (requirements), o test planning; o knowledge articles, o works with technical team to execute delivery; o reporting and KPI’s for the product; o adherence to SaskPower standards including: security, accessibility, brand, code, and architecture. • Outside the box thinking and innovation to identify new business solutions and operational efficiencies, while providing recommendations which have a significant impact on SaskPower’s business operations and strategies• Lead and/or participate in cross-functional projects to provide functional expertise f• Represent Digital Services and prepare and present material to internal and external audiences as required• Maintain knowledge of industry developments and best practices related to websites and identity access management
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related equivalent AND/OR;• Related professional designation(s) and/or certification(s) such as IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSM, PMP or PRINCE2 AND/OR;• Five (5) years of related experience as a Product Analyst or Project Manager in an Information Technology environment with a demonstrated ability to oversee initiatives and gather requirements in agile, iterative and sequential (waterfall) environments• Team player with the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships both internal and external to SaskPower• Results oriented thinker, with the ability to manage and provide advice regarding complex and confidential issues with sensitivity and professionalism• Excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Ability to work and manage in a changing environment• Excellent facilitation, project management and decision making skills• Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamwork• Demonstrated skill in SaskPower’s competencies• Must have a continuing record of professional development
