Position Specific Description

Our Geology & Reservoir Engineering Department in the Gas Infrastructure Business Unit is looking for a Sr Geophysicist to join their team in Houston, TX.

This position is an integral part of a team to identify and evaluate hydrocarbon zones of interest for development by Trinity Operating (NextEra Gas Infrastructure). The primary focus will be on the Woodford, Haynesville and Eagle Ford shale plays. Employees in this role will assist in the drilling of multi-unit Horizontal wells by integrating petrophysical analysis from well log and core data with regional trends and performance history with time and depth seismic. This position is an integral part of a team to identify and evaluate hydrocarbon zones of interest for development by Trinity Operating (NextEra Gas Infrastructure).

Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Geoscience or Geophysics is highly preferred.

Job Overview

Employees in this role will be responsible for interpreting 2D and 3D seismic for operations and business decisions. This job will require the employees to work directly with Geoscientists and Engineers to advise management, as well as present technical data to various audiences.
