Summer 2025 Electrical Engineer Internship

During your co-op/internship, you will gain experience and exposure to practical engineering applications within the utility industry. Students work alongside experienced engineers and will perform a variety of projects and assignments that have specific instructions and expected results. Responsibilities: Operations Center Distribution Engineering: Co-op will be immersed in increasing levels of responsibility regards the design, construction, maintenance, and protection of the electrical distribution system; this will include hands-on opportunities to learn theories on overhead and underground systems, overcurrent protection, line capacitor installation, and other power quality and electrical service initiatives. Co-op will split time between fieldwork and computer applications. Job Description* Identifies opportunities for improvement and/or suggests improved methods.

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience

Available full time during the Summer 2025 semester (May – August)

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with declared major in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 2.50 GPA Work Conditions

Combination of office and field work. Physical Effort

Primarily sitting, with occasional walking and standing.
