Surface Construction Miner

GMS Mine Repair is recruiting for Surface Mine construction positions. This is for a long-term contract in the Carlsbad, NM area. These positions will be for 40 hours per week Monday through Thursday, day shift. Vacation after 1 year of service.

As a Surface Mine Construction worker, you will be responsible for various duties related to construction and maintenance of surface mine site. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Company provided Uniforms

Duties include but not limited to:

- Industrial construction, i.e. fabricating from blueprints or field measurements, followed by installation of fabricated components.

- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively

Experience:

- Previous experience in surface mine construction or related field is preferred

Skills:

· Blueprint reading and welding – Strongly Preferred

· Basic hand and power tool experience

· Rigging experience- Strongly Preferred

· Working from Heights Required

· Steel work, Metal Siding experience.

· Industrial Construction experience.

· Bi-lingual is a plus

· General Maintenance and Equipment Installation.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during construction projects

- Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
