About This Job

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tower Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications towers and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both high and low voltage systems, as well as experience with fiber splicing and cabling. This position requires climbing and working at heights, so a commitment to safety is essential.

Duties

•

Climb telecommunications towers to perform installation, maintenance, and repairs.

•

Telecommunicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met.

•

Install and maintain low voltage and high voltage systems as required.

•

Perform cabling tasks including running cables, terminating connections, and ensuring proper signal integrity.

•

Work with 4G/LTE technology to enhance network performance.

•

Conduct fiber splicing to connect fiber optic cables for data transmission.

•

Utilize welding skills for structural repairs or modifications on towers.

•

Use voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.

•

Rig equipment safely for lifting and securing materials during installation processes.

•

Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in tower climbing or related field is preferred.

•

Familiarity with telecommunications systems including 4G/LTE technology.

•

Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.

•

Experience in cabling practices including fiber optic installations.

•

Ability to operate welding equipment safely and effectively.

•

Proficient in using voltmeters for electrical diagnostics.

•

Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and client interaction.

•

Commitment to safety procedures while working at heights.
