A Sewer Camera Operator is responsible for operating remote-controlled cameras to inspect and monitor sewer lines. This role involves identifying blockages, damages, and other issues within the sewer system, ensuring proper documentation and reporting of findings. This is a laborers union position.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operate Sewer Cameras: Use remote-controlled cameras to inspect sewer lines, recording data and monitoring findings.
•Identify Issues: Detect blockages, damages, and other irregularities within the sewer system.
•Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, including video footage and written reports.
•Monitor Water Flow: Check and monitor water flow within the sewer lines.
•Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including confined space entry operations.
•Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is in good working condition, performing routine maintenance as needed.
•Communication: Collaborate with team members and communicate findings to supervisors and relevant departments.
Qualifications:
•Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
•Experience: At least 1 year experience in sewer inspection.
•Skills: Proficient in operating remote-controlled cameras and other inspection equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
•Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and confined space entry.
Work Environment:
•Field Work: Work is performed outdoors, in various weather conditions.
•Travel: Will have to be able to travel.
•Safety Gear: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
