Job Summary Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Financial Planning & Analysis Supervisor, this position serves as a member of the Finance team and serves as the assigned financial liaison for a designated business unit(s) or at corporate. Provides management with financial reporting and analysis that is used for strategic and tactical decision making. Works with various levels of management within the business units as well as corporate stakeholders to develop, interpret and implement financial and accounting concepts or techniques related to strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive business results.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•Relevant experience in finance, treasury, financial modeling, and/or accounting.
•Experience with cash and accrual accounting.
•Must be proficient in the use of several software applications, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, scheduling and presentation packages. Experience in EPE standard packages preferred (currently Microsoft Applications).
•Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
•Experience in utility industry accounting practices and procedures preferred.
•Ability to understand and interpret the Uniform System of Accounts in accordance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission code.
•Knowledge of appropriate accounting and financial modeling software.
•Ability to work independently.
•Interpretation of financial statements and trend analysis.
•Quantitative analysis planning.
•Ability to effectively manage several tasks at the same time.

Essential Job Functions
•Supports business unit general manager and senior-level directors/managers as finance lead, including compiling and analyzing all financial information.
•Provides training to the finance/operational teams as assigned.
•Prepares and presents monthly financial reporting package to management.
•Assists in preparation of and analyzes annual budgets and long-term plans.
•Prepares consolidated forecasts and analyzes trends in revenue, expenses, capital expenditures and other related areas.
•Conducts complex project and business analysis including ROI, NPV and IRR, making recommendations to management based on results .
•Coordinates with business partners and external consultants in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of forecast computer models, dashboards, and variance reporting.
•Works with management and business units to determine strategic objectives and identify opportunities to meet those along with KPI development and attainment.
•Prepares financial and business-related analysis and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments.
•Assists in budgeting, revenue and expense analysis, business trends analysis, and special ad hoc projects related to the designated business unit.
•Works with business users to refine and improve current reporting and analysis, often performing ad hoc reporting to satisfy end-users.
•Works closely with accounting and operational departments to accurately project cash flows and financial performance.
•Analyzes projections with respect to various operating strategies, shareholder value measures, and other metrics or objectives.
•Analyzes actual results to understand variances and revises projections as appropriate.
•Leverages the use of predictive analytics, including AI, in forecasting, cost and variance analytics, and scenario planning.
•Complies with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations.
•Perform other related tasks that are not included but are within the context of the duties defined.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
•The incumbents in this classification are subject to inside environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
