Job Title: CDL Dump Truck Driver Location: 22100 Huron Township Ct, New Boston, MI, 48164 Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Dispatch Supervisor Schedule: Monday–Saturday, early mornings
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Dump Truck Driver to transport aggregates such as sand, gravel, and stone to and from construction sites, quarries, and processing plants. The ideal candidate has a valid CDL-A license with relevant endorsements, a strong safety record, and the ability to perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Safely operate CDL Dump trucks.
•
Transport materials to designated sites in a timely and efficient manner
•
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and trailers
•
Maintain accurate delivery logs and load tickets
•
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
•
Communicate effectively with dispatch and site personnel
•
Monitor truck performance and report any mechanical issues promptly
•
Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle
•
Adhere to safe loading and unloading procedures
Requirements:
•
Valid CDL-A license
•
Clean driving record with no recent violations
•
Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience (Dump truck or similar preferred)
•
Strong understanding of DOT regulations and FMCSA safety standards
•
Ability to operate a manual transmission (if applicable)
•
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
•
Ability to work long hours and in varying weather conditions
•
Physical ability to climb in/out of the truck and perform minor vehicle checks
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Previous experience driving gravel train or dump trucks
•
Familiarity with local quarries, construction sites, and delivery routes
•
Mechanical aptitude for handling minor repairs or troubleshooting
